2014
RuxFlo Clothing LLC steps into the world of skateboarding apparel. Co-founded by Cole, the brand stays strong and agile even when one founder departs, setting the stage for future growth and transformation.
2015
Tristan kicked off Triflix Films as a one-person show, crafting wedding and lyric videos for some side income while diving into short film and lyric video projects. The name "Triflix" stood for three things that drew him to cinematography: Education, Inspiration, and Entertainment. The word "Flix" is just a fun way of saying movies, and by adding "Films" to the name, Tristan made it crystal clear that his work was all about telling compelling stories.
2016
RuxFlo makes a bold move into web design. Led by Cole, who had been building websites since his youth and was currently majoring in web design, the transition was seamless. The company scores some wins with clients like Nova Hydraulics and Sun King Brewery, proving this shift in direction would be well worth it.
2018
RuxFlo identifies a new opportunity in real estate media. Their standout property photography quickly gains traction, making a mark in the real estate media industry that would grow beyond what Cole had ever imagined.
2020
When RuxFlo and Triflix Films cross paths, the connection is undeniable. Instead of simply expanding their individual teams, they realize there’s something bigger to be gained by joining forces. Cole & Tristan dedicated the entirety of 2020 to organizing and laying the groundwork for their new partnership, meticulously planning for a future where they would collectively drive the growth and innovation of the business.
2021
The partnership becomes official under the banner of TRIFLIX II, LLC, representing more than a legal entity; it embodies a unified vision for innovation, freshness, and a client-centric approach in our industry. This significant step is anchored by our first leased location in Columbus, Indiana, marking the beginning of our journey.
2023
TRIFLIX unveils a sleek, new website crafted with David Baker. This isn't just a refresh; it's a signal that TRIFLIX is committed to leading the way in video and photo production.

Cole Ankney
Executive Producer
From mowing lawns with my brother in our first business venture to delivering pizzas and waiting tables, my journey might seem a far cry from co-founding TRIFLIX. But don't be fooled—each step was a frame in the making. I studied web design at IUPUI and dabbled in everything from fashion with Ruxflo Clothing to real estate photography. What ties it all together? A love for tech, a business-first mindset, and a relentless focus on client service. But let's roll back the reel: I've been 'the guy with all the pics' since forever. Family gatherings, high school, you name it—I was there, camera in hand. So when Tristan and I teamed up, TRIFLIX wasn't just a business; it was destiny calling. Today, alongside Tristan, I'm steering the TRIFLIX ship, snapping shots and capturing moments that outlive us. I'm a proud dad to three amazing girls and a husband to Audrey, my rock. In my free time, I’m hanging with the family, listening to music or podcasts, and obsessing over cars I can't afford.
Tristan Watkins
Creative Director
From my early obsession with the movie "Kung Pow," to discovering my storytelling itch at 12 while watching my cousin goof around editing a class video, my destiny was set. I dodged essays in high school by turning in videos (much to my teachers' confusion) where I would play every character, and my friend Tanner and I tackled film contests as the dynamic duo "Two Ts Production." When we started a YouTube channel to upload our timeless classic, I realized our quirky name might be misread (yep, twots production—ouch). I rebranded to Triflix Films and the rest is history. I went on to graduate from Purdue in Mechanical Engineering Technology while working at companies like Cummins, Aisin, and Faurecia (Freelance video thrives on feast-or-famine, so a backup plan was only wise). Fast forward to today, I'm co-piloting the TRIFLIX LLC adventure alongside Cole. I'm the mastermind behind a bunch of semi-cooked ideas and the occasional spark of pure genius. And... that's a wrap 🎬
David Baker
Systems Development & Operations Manager
I'm David Baker, the tech wizard at TRIFLIX. My fascination with computers and technology started as a kid in Columbus, Indiana, and led me to Purdue Polytechnic, where I studied Computer Information Technology. When I'm not knee-deep in digital electronics or coding, I'm a connoisseur of coffee, a lover of music, and an active member of my church's media production team since COVID. My career path has been diverse, starting with a less-than-glamorous stint washing cars at Mike's Carwash. I've always been the go-to guy for IT help, making tech more accessible for everyone. My journey has taken me from the BCSC School Tech Department to Best Buy, from web development at IU Medicine to my current role at Cummins Inc. as a Cross-Functional Engineering Associate. One of my proudest achievements is earning my Eagle Scout badge, which inspired me to backpack through some of America's greatest national parks like Yosemite, Grand Tetons, and Yellowstone. I don't have any kids or pets, but I fill my time with adventures, both in the digital world and the great outdoors. At TRIFLIX, I'm all about blending technology with creativity to deliver top-notch solutions.
Nathan Bogard
Drone Pilot & Video Editor
I'm Nathan Bogard, TRIFLIX's video editor with a heart tuned to creativity and rhythm. Born and raised in Indiana, I found my calling in graphic and web design at SNHU. Drumming for my church in Seymour for nine years, I've always been immersed in music, whether I'm playing or producing. Off-screen, I'm baking up a storm or enjoying my favorite snacks, from Gardettos Garlic Rye Chips to Gingersnap Cookies. My career journey's been quite the mix – from managing at Regal Cinemas and Hampton Inn, to roles at Marco's Pizza and Walmart Distribution, each step honing my customer service skills. Joining TRIFLIX was a game-changer. Here, I earned my Part 107 Drone Pilot's License, adding aerial flair to my video editing expertise. When I'm not weaving visual stories, I'm at home with my high school sweetheart, Becky, our golden retriever, and two cats. Every day at TRIFLIX, I blend passion with creativity, crafting stories that resonate and captivate.
